1933 yılında Agatha Christie’nin İstanbul Pera Palas’ta kaleme aldığı, o yıldan günümüze kadar onlarca dile çevrilen, sinema filmi uyarlamaları yapılan kült eseri Doğu Ekspresinde Cinayet bu sezon ilk kez Türkiye’de Tiyatro Ak’la Kara’da sahneleniyor. Christie'nin dünyaca ünlü dedektifi Hercule Poirot, ete kemiğe Atilla Şendil'in oyunculuğuyla bürünüyor.
İstanbul’dan yola çıkan Doğu Ekspresi'nde çok farklı karakterlerin yanı sıra dünyanın en ünlü dedektifi Hercule Poirot da vardır. Daha ilk gece trende vahşi bir cinayet işlenir. Ama bunu yapabilecek herkesin tanığı vardır. Üstelik cinayetin işlendiği kompartıman gereğinden fazla kanıtla doludur. Poirot hayatında ilk defa sıkıntılı anlar yaşamaktadır. Maktulü kim ya da kimler neden öldürmüştür ? Sıradan bir yolcu grubu gibi görünen kişiler aslında bir şeyler mi saklamaktadır ? Tren bir dağ başında kara saplanıp mahsur kalınca Poirot polis gelmeden katil ya da katilleri bulmak için zamanla yarışmaya başlar.
